The winter too long
Branches too bare
Shadows too solemn
The air too bleak
And then you hovered
A promising blush
Soft and beguiling
Melting the snow
You warmed my heart
Quickened my pulse
Exhaled my breath
Clouded my judgement
I have fallen for you!
This is so beautiful ❤ Maybe love is perpetually in the air swirling of soft promises 🙂

Thank you Julia. I’m on your page and really enjoying your art and your writing. Yes love is always in the air, we just don’t always stop to feel it.😊

Or we do not always take that Love antenna with us. Thank you very much 🙂

You’re right – I like that – the antenna idea.😀

I liked that too, when it hit me, I mean the idea, not the antenna 😉

Niiiiice! And I agree with your reply to Iulia that it’s in the air, we just don’t stop to feel it!
Where is this, curious to know?

The good old Cape. This is the Lion’s head of Table Mountain in Cape Town taken from the city centre below. I managed to steal time at dusk and do a bit of sightseeing. I’m determined to smell the roses or feel the sea breeze this time around.

I love the translucence of the cloud in your photo, how shades of sun fill it up. The poem might be about spring sunshine after a long winter, or finding love thought to be lost. The last stanza and final line are gorgeous and universal, the ones that resonated most with me. Glad you’re finding time to write, Chevvy! 🙂

It is gorgeous isn’t it? I watched the clouds descend over the mountain, very misty at first and then magically transformed by the sun. I’ve had to declutter a few things in my head in order to write 😉 Spring is close and I’m looking forward to more of that first blush!
