A promise to myself
that I just cannot keep
to walk away or turn the other cheek
or stop day-dreaming. Then it starts again
Always
It’s that subtle lilt within your voice
your tongue-twist of carefully crafted words
that scintillating, sliding glance
and there I go again, unravelling
Always
Then you’re feeling me
like I’m feeling your magnetic pull
like magic, you suddenly appear
Your pockets filled with tricks
Always
My head and heart cannot agree
about where I ought to be
but before I change my mind
I’m in your arms entwined
Always
It’s that old devil called love again
Always

You write about LOVE so beautifully.

Thank you Ron for the lovely compliment. I guess in my book we are either ruled by fear or love. I’d rather focus on love and inspire others to explore that emotion too.😀

I agree! Love and fear are two of the main factors driving all human behavior.

Head and heart, duking it out. Always. Playful bending and twisting of words a metaphor for the endless looping of love. Nicely done, Chev 🙂

Yes, Joan – still practicing my art playfully as you rightly say. Of course it doesn’t mean that I don’t have love on my mind 😀 Thank you for stopping by. I’m coming over to visit your blog now.
