You came looking, I watched you
Searching in my draws trying to find my truth
Attempting to find my soul which I had hidden
Tucked among my words specially reserved
You wanted to know my secret love affair
Why I smiled –clearly,it wasn’t for you
What made me laugh if not you, then who?
How could you win my heart who was he?
I had left signs and traces that confused you
For you to find, sending you into a spiral
My heart made of my butterfly wings
You failed to discover, you could not see
It had already been taken, it was always you

Yup, we do, even if it’s not originally Indian as a tradition & is more an American influence, so lunch it is. You have a good one – hope your kid(s) and the Mister are extra good to you! 🙂

Beautiful and clever, Chev. I love the photo, too. The falling red petals seem to express a similar sentiment. Thanks for sharing, Happy Mother’s Day!

Yes – I always choose a picture that captures my attention. I’m like that with books. I don’t buy books that often these days since I use a kindle, but the other day, I went into a bookshop and three books just stood out for me to buy:-) Thanks for the good wishes and you have a lovely Sunday:-)
