A seduction of words
The meandering images
Of a flooded swollen river
Caught up in your deluge
A blinding sandstorm cloud
Rolling, red desert storm
Left wandering, lost in direction
Beseiged and surrounded by you
Tides keep revolving and turning
Ebbing and flowing audaciously
Tempting invitation to dive in
To be swallowed for love of you
The mountains rise steeply ahead
Taunting, titillating to climb
Each step higher and higher still
Reaching peaks, smothered in clouds
In the falling mists of a rain forest
You ended the chase amidst trees
And lush leaves, elaborately laced
Finally caught in your embrace
Until the next chase…
Very well written, I love the metaphors, beautiful..

Stunning image! And I loved your lines, especially the last one, which takes you back to the beginning all over again!

I still think that’s the best part. I like your last line too. I’m a believer you know. 😀

Letting love surround you is beautiful but dangerous. We keep chasing it anyway. Loved your way with words… that last line is perfect. 🙂

Welcome back and look forward to seeing the vibrant dreamer back. Take care of your mind, body and soul. Are you in your home country?
Don’t think I told you that I’ve been there. Wasn’t there long enough to take enough pictures but I must look for what I have.

I’m sorry, I can’t do that thing that Lady G does. I’m old fashioned when it comes to all the abbreviations but I can assure you that I’m having a good laugh at your response. OK take a deep breath now. You can rest awhile before the next chase 😀 Thank you for the compliment, I’m a very experimental writer – so I was having great fun hopefully helping you all create your own pictures in your minds. Now you write very well, can I challenge you to write a poem sometime? I think everyone has a poem in them 😅😅

Just kidding! I loved it too…I couldn’t help wondering if you are self taught or if you have had any formal schooling.
I ask because your use of metaphor is astonishing!

I once did my time teaching English Seniors. Of course teaching and writing as an artist are two different things. When I read my stuff I realise though that metaphors or any other figures of speech are drawn from life experience, knowledge of all sorts of things and then rolled up with creativity and imagination. One day, when I can convince you to write a poem, we should try writing a poem on the same topic and our metaphors and content will be very different 🙂
